ORDER

The petition has been filed seeking to quash the impugned order in Na.Ka.No.12/D.H.-NTEP/2025 dated 30.05.2025 of the Deputy Director/Secretary of District Health Society, Vellore and quash their irregular proceeding as illegal and direct the 3rd respondent to renew the designation and tenure of the petitioner.

It is the case of the petitioner that on 01.01.2007, he has joined as Senior Treatment Supervisor at Combined Vellore District in the revised National TB Control program for the basic scale of Rs.7500/- with 10% increment, though he has completed MA., B.Ed., Consideration of his performance in the year 2015, he was appointed as the District Public Private Mix coordinator of combined Vellore District consisted of Vellore-Ranipet, Tirupathur for the fixed scale of Rs.18,000/- Later in the year 2018, he was appointed as the District Program Coordinator by the Chairperson cum District Collector. He continuously working in the above designation till 30th May 2025. His contract period for the year 2024 to 2025 ended on 26.02.2025. On 30.05.

The petitioner was received a letter from the Chairman/District Collector, Tirupathur vide approval letter in Na.Ka.No.12/D.H.S.NTEP/2025 dated 30.05.

Thereafter, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents on 14.06.2025 to renew his tenure of contract period and the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition challenging the order dated 30.05.2025.

3. The learned Government Advocate submitted that already the petitioner's contract has been expired on 26.02.2025. Thereafter, the contract was not extended to the petitioner. In the absence of any contract between the petitioner and the Government, 4th respondent has rightly directed the petitioner to hand over the two wheeler and log book. Hence, the petitioner filed the present writ petition is not sustainable.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate and perused the materials available on record.

5. Admittedly the petitioner is not a Government servant. He has been engaged by the District Health Society to monitor the functions of the eradication of Tuberculosis programme in four blocks of Vellore District in the year 2020. It is also an admitted fact that the said contract period has also been expired on 26.02.2025. Therefore, the petitioner have not right to seek extension. However, present impugned order has been passed by the 4th

respondent which is only a consequential order. Therefore, the writ petition filed by the petitioner is not maintainable and the same is liable to be dismissed.

6. In the result, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
