JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This appeal, filed under Clause 15 of the Letters Patent, assails the order dated 26.09.2025 passed in W.P.No.10 of 2023, whereby, the writ petition was dismissed.

2. Appellant had studied B.Com. during the year 1998-2001 through distance education and had secured 43% marks. In order to pursue PG Degree, the minimum marks that ought to have been secured is 50%. The grievance of appellant is that the authorities rejected his prayer to allow him to write improvement examination on the ground that there is no such provision in the University Regulations. The learned Single Judge dismissed the writ petition on this ground alone.

3. Learned counsel for appellant is unable to cite any provision or judgment which provides for writing improvement examination. Though hall ticket has been issued to appellant, the same was done

because of inadvertence and due to non-mentioning of writing the improvement examination in the application.

4. We find no error in the order passed by the learned Single Judge. The appeal is bereft of merits and substance and therefore, it is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. (SUSHRUT ARVIND DHARMADHIKARI,CJ) (G.ARUL MURUGAN,J) 15.06.2026 Index :
