ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 27.10.2025 for the alleged offence punishable under Section 4(1)(C), 4(1)(B) of TNP (Amendment) Act, in Crime No.467 of 2025, seeks bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of Tasmac liquor, namely 40 bottles of 180 ml, 8 bottles of 60 ml and 6 bottles of 650 ml. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is in judicial custody since 27.10.2025. He further submitted that he is ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed to grant bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the petitioner has 15 previous cases pending against him. Hence, he opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record including the First Information Report.

6. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, the nature of the allegations, and that the petitioner has 15 previous cases against him, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
