Respondent(s) PRAYER:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, seeking issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the 2 nd, 3 rd and 4 th respondents to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 12.11.2025 and recommend to the 1 st respondent to initiate the process of amending Section 27 (c) of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016 to make 5 percent reservation for Ex-Servicemen in appointments by direct recruitment even in Group "A" and Group "B" posts along with Group "C" posts.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the 2 nd, 3 rd and 4 th respondents to consider the representation of the

petitioners dated 12.11.2025 and recommend to the 1 st respondent to initiate the process of amending Section 27 (c) of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016 to make 5 percent reservation for ExServicemen in appointments by direct recruitment even in Group "A" and Group "B" posts along with Group "C" posts.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that this Court may issue a direction to the respondents to pass appropriate orders on the petitioners' representation dated 12.11.2025 within a specified time.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would submit that the respondents will consider the representation of the petitioners and pass appropriate orders within a specified time.

4. In view of the above, there will be a direction to the 2 nd respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 12.11.2025 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of

receipt of a copy of this order.
