O R D E R
The petitioner herein apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 123, 286 of BNS Act and Section 24(1) of Cigarette and others Tobacco Products Act, 2003 in Crime No.197 of 2025 on the file of the respondent Police, seek anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that A1 was found in illegal possession of 30 pouches of banned tobacco products each containing 15 packets. It is further alleged that, A1 had purchased the said contraband from the petitioner. Hence, the case.
3. This is the second anticipatory bail petition filed by the petitioner. Earlier this Court dismissed the anticipatory bail petition of the petitioner in Crl.O.P.No.28874 of 2025 by stating the following reasons: Considering the gravity and the nature of the offece alleged against the petitioner and the fact that a huge quantity of contraband was seized from him, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Now, without any change in circumstances, present petition is filed. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
