ORDER

The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to fill up the vacancies meant for existing qualified employees of societies in all districts especially in societies where a single vacancy to promote those who are qualified on completing three years of service till end of December 2025 so as to entitle their promotion to the post of Assistant from the notified vacancies for which process of recruitment is going on in pursuant to the written examination on 11.10.2025 and directing the respondents to fill up post of Assistant by qualified legal heirs of deceased employees on compassionate appointment whether regularised or non-regularised.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the members of the Petitioner Union are employed in different categories in various co-operative societies. It is stated that a circular was issued on 23.07.2024 fixing the scale of pay in the cadre strength in each society and the basis for classification of the primary agricultural co-operative credit societies. It was further submitted that another circular was issued on 31.08.2024 to fill up the vacancies to the post of Assistant from the feeder category in the ratio of 1:1. However, with following the ratio, the District Recruitment bureau in some societies have taken the existing vacancies for direct recruitment in the post of Assistant. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner submitted a representation on 06.10.2025, however, the same has not been considered till date. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

In view of the above, without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.10.2025 in light of the circulars dated 31.08.2024 and 18.10.2024, if applicable. The above exercise shall be carried out within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/6
