Mr.V.Manimaran For Respondent :

Ms.J.R.Archana Government Advocate (Crl.Side)

O R D E R

The petitioners herein apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 296(b), 132 and 351(2) of BNS (Section 294(b), 353, 506(i) of IPC in Crime No.414 of 2025, registered on the file of the respondent, seeks anticipatory bail. 1/4

2. The allegation against the petitioners is that they obstructed the officials from discharging their official duties and abused them using filthy language. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners merely objected to the officials entering the land, which according to them belongs to the petitioners. It is further submitted that the petitioners have no previous criminal antecedents. Therefore, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the defacto complainant and other officials were abused and threatened by the petitioners and that the official vehicle was also damaged at the place where the Government poromboke project was sought to be carried out. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. I have perused the materials available on record. The materials prima facie reveal that the petitioners obstructed the officials from carrying out the Government poromboke project and were also involved in threatening and abusing the officials. In view of the same, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
