2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused attacked the defacto complainant and robbed a sum of Rs.1,250/- from him. Hence, the case.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he had been falsely implicated in this case. He also submitted that the petitioner is in no way connected with the alleged offence and that he is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the coaccused was released on bail by this Court in Crl.OP.No.21935 of 2025 dated 06.08.2025 and that he has 15 previous cases pending against him. Hence, he opposed for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Earlier, this Court dismissed the anticipatory bail petition filed by the petitioner in Crl.O.P.No.27269 of 2025, by order dated 03.10.2025, as the petitioner was permitted to withdraw the said petition.

6. Considering the nature of the allegations and the fact that the petitioner has 15 previous cases pending against him, this Court is of the view that, if the petitioner is released on anticipatory bail, there is a likelihood that he may indulge in similar activities. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant __________Page 2 of 4

anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 06-01-2026 DRL To 1.The Public Prosecutor, High Court, Madras.

2. The Inspector of Police Ponneri Police Station, Tiruvallur District.
