This application has been filed to permit the applicant to amend the cause title in the original petition and to amend the certificate issued in favour of the applicant.
2. According to the second applicant, originally, the applicants filed the original petition seeking grant of a succession certificate in O.P.No.758 of 2024. During the pendency of the said original petition, the 1st petitioner, Azhagarsamy died, leaving behind applicants 2 to 5 as his legal heirs and they filed an application to implead themselves as petitioners, and the same was allowed on 14.08.2025. Registry also issued the succession certificate on 03.11.2025. After receipt of the order, it was noticed that the name of the 5th petitioner was wrongly mentioned as "Kannagi" instead of "Kanaga" in the petition and the same error had crept in the succession certificate. Similarly, in the original petition as well as in the order, the name of the 1st petitioner was mentioned as https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
A.No.6138 of 2025 in O.P.No.758 of 2024 "Azhagarsamy" but in the Succession Certificate, it was wrongly mentioned as "Azhagarsam". Therefore, the aforesaid typographical errors are required to be corrected.

This Court has also perused the records and finds that the name of the 5th petitioner was wrongly mentioned as "Kannagi" in the original petition and in the order dated 14.08.2025, instead of "Kanaga". Similarly, the name of the first petitioner was also wrongly mentioned as "Azagarsam" instead of "Azhagarsamy" in the Succession Certificate. Therefore, the aforesaid errors are liable to be corrected .

Considering the averments made in the affidavit filed in support of this application, this application is allowed. 15.12.2025 kkd Note : Registry is directed to carry out the necessary amendment and thereafter, issue a fresh succession certificate to the petitioners.
