ORDER

The contempt petition is filed to punish the respondents for their wilful and intentional failure to comply with the order of this Court dated 23.04.2025 made in W.P.No.14392 of 2025.

2. Upon perusal of the order made in the writ petition, it can be seen that this Court has held that it is only the Government which has the power to exercise discretion under the quota, if available and therefore enabled the petitioner to make a representation and further directed that as and when any representation is made, the same shall be considered in accordance with law. Therefore, the petitioner ought to have made the representation and the same was not done. It was only a legal notice dated 25.08.2025 that was issued, which was answered by the Secretary to Government, Public (Political Pension-2) Department, Chennai- 9. Therefore, the present contempt petition cannot be entertained.

3. It is also represented that the petitioner is no more. If any legal heir or any other person is interested and if the cause of action survives, the legal heir

can make a representation as directed in the earlier order, without which this contempt petition is not entertainable and accordingly, the contempt petition stands dismissed, however with the liberty as aforesaid. 23-02-2026 NSL To
