Respondents PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus forbearing the respondents 1 to 6 from installing petrol fuel station outlet in the land belongs to the 7th respondent comprised in Survey No.497/2, situate at Thekkalur Village, Avinashi Taluk, Tiruppur District, based on the petitioner's objection dated 20.09.2025.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. The petitioner has filed this petition alleging that respondent No.7 has applied for granting licence/NOC for opening a petrol pump outlet, which, according to the guidelines, is not permissible at the location applied for by respondent No.7.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State counsel would submit that, at present, final decision to accept the application towards allotment of petrol pump outlet, has not been taken and the petitioner has already made a complaint on this aspect.
4. Since till date, no decision has been taken to allot petrol pump outlet to respondent No.7, without commenting upon the merits, we direct respondent No.3 to examine the veracity of the complaint made by the petitioner before taking a final decision in the matter of the application made by respondent No.7 for granting NOC for opening the petrol pump outlet in the given survey number.
5. The petition is, accordingly, disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
