The criminal original petition has been filed to set aside Condition 4 (i) dated 13.10.2025 made in Crl.M.P.No.8206 of 2025 on the file of the XIX Additional City Civil Court, Chennai.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was convicted in C.C.No.3916 of 2009 by the learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, by order dated 10.02.2025. Against the said conviction and sentence, the petitioner had preferred a criminal appeal in Crl.A.No.1049 of 2025 before the learned XIX Additional City Civil Court, Chennai. The learned Appellate Court, by order dated 13.10.2025 in Crl.M.P.No.8206 of 2025, was pleased to suspend the sentence imposed on condition that the petitioner shall execute a bond for Rs.10,000/- with two sureties each on or before 27.10.2025. Since the petitioner was unable to secure two sureties within the stipulated time, the time granted lapsed. Now, the petitioner has arranged two sureties and therefore, filed the present petition

seeking extension of time by two weeks.

3.Heard the learned Govt. Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent.

4.Taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner has now arranged two sureties, condition No.4(i) in order dated 13.10.2025, directing the petitioner to produce two sureties on or before 27.10.2025, is extended by a further period of two weeks from today. The petitioner shall produce the two sureties on or before 17.12.2025.
