ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 408 of IPC, in Crime No.145

of 2024 on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The allegation against the petitioner is that, while he was working as Branch Manager, the petitioner has misappropriated a sum of Rs.5,24,927/- which was collected from 35 victims. Hence, the complaint. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not collected any money from the victims and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready and willing to pay the entire amount. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the respondent police submitted that totally Rs.5,24,927/- have been swindled by this petitioner and failed to remit the same.

He further submitted that the investigation in this case is pending. Hence, he opposed for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5.Considering the fact that a sum of Rs.5,24,927/- have been misappropriated by the petitioner and so far no money has been repaid or recovered, granting anticipatory bail may hamper the investigation and further, the petitioner will indulge in similar activities. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 02-12-2025 gbi
