ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to grant patta to the respective petitioners for the respective properties morefully described in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition, based on their representations dated 22.04.2015, 02.07.2018, 25.04.2025, 18.06.2025, 04.07.2025, 06.08.2025 and 13.11.2025.
2. The petitioners claim that earlier, the land ceiling proceedings were initiated against the respective properties owned by the respective petitioners. However, the same has been quashed pursuant to the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.11776 of 2010, dated 13.07.2010. The said order of the learned Single Judge was also upheld by the Division Bench of this Court. The respective petitioners therefore claim that in terms of their representations referred to supra, they are entitled for patta for their respective properties. However, according to the petitioners, till date, their representations have not been considered positively by the respondents.
3. The petitioners also contend that one other land owner by name R.Manjula, who is also similarly placed person, had applied for patta, and pursuant to directions issued by this Court on 03.11.2023 passed in W.P.No.31573 of 2023, a Government Order has been issued granting patta in __________Page 2 of 6
favour of R.Manjula. However, according to the petitioners, till date, patta has not been issued in favour of the respective petitioners for their respective lands.
4. Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
5. The petitioners have produced a Government Order passed in respect of one R.Manjula, through which, a patta has been issued in her favour. Her lands had also been earlier affected under the land ceiling proceedings, which were quashed by this Court under the very same order relied upon by the learned counsel for the petitioners in this writ petition. Therefore, the petitioners also have the right to get patta in their respective names for the respective properties owned by them. Hence, necessarily, the respondents will have to consider the petitioners' representations referred to supra seeking for issuance of patta in the light of the fact that one R.Manjula, who is also similarly placed person, has been issued with patta by virtue of G.O.Ms.No.188, Revenue & Disaster Management Department, Urban Land Ceiling Wing, ULC-II(1) Section, dated 21.04.2025.
6. For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to pass final orders on the aforesaid representations of the petitioners seeking for issuance of patta for the respective properties owned by __________Page 3 of 6
them, in the light of G.O.Ms.No.188, Revenue & Disaster Management Department, Urban Land Ceiling Wing, ULC-II(1) Section, dated 21.04.2025, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No Costs.
