Respondent in both CRPs COMMON PRAYER: Civil Revision Petition is filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, praying to call for the records pertaining to O.P.Nos.4729 and 1804 of 2018 respectively, pending on the file of the II Additional Judge, Family Court, Chennai and order for speedy disposal of the same within a time frame to be set out by this Court. For Petitioner : M/s.R.Maheswari C O M M O N O R D E R These Civil Revision Petitions are filed seeking a direction to II Additional Family Court, Chennai to dispose of the O.P.Nos.4729 and 1804 of 2018 respectively within a time fixed by this Court. 1/4

2. The petitioner/husband filed a petition seeking divorce in O.P.No.4729 of 2024 in the said original petition, the respondent/wife was set ex-parte and ex-parte decree was passed on 18.11.2021. Thereafter, the respondent/wife filed in I.A.No.3 of 2024 seeking to set aside the ex-parte decree and the same was allowed. Now O.P.No.4729 filed by the petitioner is in the stage of counter filed by the respondent, even after expiry of seven years.

3. The O.P.No.1804 of 2018 was filed by the respondent seeking restitution of conjugal rights and the same was dismissed for default on 24.09.2021. The respondent/wife filed application seeking restoration of original petition in I.A.No.2 of 2025 and the same was allowed on 01.11.2025. Now the petition for restitution of conjugal rights filed by the respondent is also in the stage of counter.

4. It is seen from the remarks submitted by the learned II Additional Family Court Judge, Chennai, both the Original Petitions are pending in the stage of filing counter even after expiry of seven years. 2/4

5. Taking into consideration, the original petitions were of the year 2018 and the pleadings of the parties are not yet completed, this Court is inclined to direct the trial Court to expedite the enquiry and dispose of the same, as expeditiously as possible.

6. Accordingly, these Civil Revision Petitions are disposed of. No costs.
