This Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed praying to direct the respondents not to harass/interfere with the civil dispute between the petitioner
and his sister, Preethi Suresh, in respect of the house in Door No.3/58, Krishna Vilas, Muthunaickenpatti Road, Omalur Village, in the guise of investigation.
2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submit that the respondents are not interfering in the civil dispute pending between the petitioner and his sister. However, he would submit that based on the complaint of the petitioner's sister on the allegations of assault, a case in Crime No.593 of 2025 has been registered; other than that, the respondents are not harassing the petitioner.
3. This Court is of the view that a blanket direction as sought by the petitioner cannot be issued. The term "harassment" is so subjective and the same cannot be encapsulated in an objective criterion. It is for the authorities to follow the rules whenever any interrogation is required and the petitioner is bound to co-operate with the authorities when such an interrogation is made.
