The petition in W.P.Crl.No.1348 of 2025 was disposed of by this Court by an order dated 14.11.2025, giving liberty to the petitioner to give a fresh representation with a copy of that order to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Madhavaram. Further, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Madhavaram, was directed to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's 1/4
representation on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of fresh representation from the petitioner. 2.
The instant petition is filed on the ground that the appropriate authority to consider the petitioner's representation is only the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kolathur, and not the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Madhavaram. Today, when this miscellaneous petition was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the time frame given in the said order may be reduced to four weeks and the order dated 14.11.2025 may be suitably amended and copy issued. 3.
The reasons adduced in the affidavit filed in support of this petition and the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner being satisfactory, the third paragraph of the order dated 14.11.2025 reads as under:
"In view of the above submission, the petitioner is at liberty to give a fresh representation along with a copy of this order to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kolathur. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kolathur, is directed to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, within a 2/4
period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the fresh representation from the petitioner. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. "
Accordingly, this petition in W.P.M.P.Crl.No.820 of 2025 is ordered as prayed for.
07.01.2026 ssa Note: Registry is directed to carry out the necessary amendments in the order dated 14.11.2025 and issue fresh copy of the order by 09.01.2026. 3/4
