Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan Special Govt. Pleader for R1 to R4 Order nd This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction directing the 2 respondent to consider and pass final orders on the petitioner's appeal dated 05.07.2024 in Na.Ka.G2/2240953/2024 within a time frame.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the property admeasuring to an extent of 0.11 3⁄4 cent comprised in R.S.No.149/2 bearing Patta No.294 situated at Vayalur Village, Virudhachalam Taluk, Cuddalore District was originally belongs to Sellan, Muthusamy, Chinnasamy Reddiyar and Narayanan by virtue __________Page 2 of 6

of assignment granted by the Government. The said Sellan died on 12.04.1961 leaving his only two daughters viz., Ammakannu and Annpoo as his legal representatives. The petitioner is the son of the said Ammakkannu. After the demise of said four persons, the petitioner was in possession and enjoyment of the property allotted to the share of his grandfather viz., Sellan. While being so, at the time of UDR, mistakenly patta was issued in the name of Sellan, son of Muthusamy dated 26.03.1998 by removing the name of Sellan, Muthusamy, Chinnasamy Reddiyar and Narayanan. Based on the wrong entries made in the UDR patta, the respondents 5 and 6 have illegally obtained the death certificate of Sellan, son of Muthusamy before Municipal Corporation, Virudhachalam as if the Sellan died on 06.07.1982 and obtained legal heir certificate on 19.04.2023.

Against which, the petitioner had given a complaint and in th respondent conducted enquiry and forwarded pursuance of the complaint, the 4 rd respondent recommending to cancel the the letter dated 17.05.2024 to the 3 said legal heirship certificate. After due enquiry, the same was cancelled. nd respondent Subsequently, he filed an appeal dated 05.07.2024 before the 2 nd respondent had issued three requesting to cancel the death certificate.

3. Heard Mr.K.Prabakaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4. Perused the materials available on record. nd

In view of the limited prayer sought in the Writ Petition, the 2 respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's appeal and to pass orders on the petitioner's appeal dated 05.07.2024 in Na.Ka.No.G2/2240953/2024 on its own merit within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
