ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the suspension order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 21.11.2025.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was working as Assistant Director of Industrial Cooperatives Sector, Cuddalore. Initially, he was appointed as Supervisor in the year 2008 and subsequently, he was promoted to various posts and also worked as Administrator of the 4th respondent. While the petitioner was worked as Assistant Director of Industrial Cooperatives, the impugned suspension order was issued stating that he was responsible for the stock deficit. However, the learned counsel would submit that there was a stock deficit subsequent to the petitioner's transfer and in which the petitioner was held responsible for the
deficit stock even after relieving order thereby, the petitioner filed the writ petition challenging the suspension order.

The learned petitioner appearing for the petitioner would submit that the present writ petition is filed solely on the ground that the petitioner was relieved in the post on 31.05.2025 as per the order issued by the 3rd respondent on 28.05.2025, however, the present impugned show cause notice was issued only on 12.08.2025 whereas the petitioner handed over the charge on 31.05.2025. However, the deficit stock was identified only on 26.08.2025, after lapse of three months and the same was held as against the petitioner on the sole ground, the present writ petition is filed.

Per contra, the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that admittedly, there was a deficit loss to the tune of Rs.28,30,000/- and held as against the three persons and 3rd respondent made recommendation to the 1st respondent for 81 enquiry. Pending 81 enquiry, the petitioner was placed under suspension which need not be interfered with. However, the 81 enquiry to be concluded within period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After conclusion, if the petitioner is not responsible for the deficit stock, his suspension will be recalled.
5. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to make a request after completion of the 81 enquiry. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 09-12-2025 kkn Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes
