Nos.9531 and 9532 of 2018 and to pay the difference amount of Rs.16,925/- which the petitioners are also entitled to receive. For Petitioners :

ORDER

The petitioners seek payment of enhanced compensation at Rs.50,000/- per cent with all other benefits.

2. The petitioners' lands were acquired and compensation in respect thereof was enhanced to Rs.33,075/- per cent. Later, in respect of lands covered by the same Notification, compensation was fixed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court at Rs.50,000/- per cent in matters pertaining to other land owners. Relying thereto, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioners also relies on an order dated 06.10.2025 of this Court in W.P.No.36795 of 2025. He submits that the petitioners are entitled to a similar benefit.

4. Mr.Abishek Murthy, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice for all the respondents. He submits that the petitioners have approached this Court belatedly and not within the time limit specified in Section 28A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. 2/4

5. As contended by the learned counsel for the petitioners, the petitioners are placed in substantially similar position as the petitioner in W.P.N.36795 of 2205. Therefore, the petitioners are entitled to parity of treatment. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 22.10.2025 by taking note of the judgment of the Supreme Court in Civil Appeal Nos.9531 and 9532 of 2018 and the recent order of this Court in W.P.No.36795 of 2025. A decision shall be taken within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
