This Civil Miscellaneous Petition has been filed by the Petitioner/Claimant praying to condone the delay of 588 days in filing the above Civil Miscellaneous Appeal against the Award dated 31.01.2023 passed in M.C.O.P.No.641 of 2012, Principal Subordinate Court, Ponneri.

2. Mr.B.Sivakollapan, learned counsel appeared on behalf of 2nd Respondent/Insurance Company submitted that he has no objection to this petition being allowed.

3. Having been satisfied with the reasons assigned in the affidavit filed in support of this petition, delay is condoned and this Civil Miscellaneous Petition is allowed.

4. It is made clear that after the numbering of this Civil Miscellaneous Appeal, if this Court enhances the compensation which was awarded by the Tribunal, Petitioner/Claimant will not be entitled to get any interest for the default period.
