ORDER
Mr.K. Tippusulthan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for respondents. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The relief sought in this writ petition is a direction to the respondents to sanction the advance increment in view of G.O.(Ms) No.116 dated 15.10.2020 issued by Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department based on the petitioner's representation dated 25.04.2025.
3. It is stated that the petitioner was working as a Librarian Grade I in the Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College, Salem and, having acquired a PostGraduate Degree in Library Science, namely M.L.I.S., submitted a request on 05.03.2021 seeking grant of advance increment in terms of G.O. Ms. No.116, Personnel and Administrative Reforms (FR-IV) Department, dated 15.10.2020, addressed to the 2nd respondent. It is the grievance of the petitioner that though the matter was enquired into, no orders were passed. Thereafter, she attained the age of superannuation on 31.12.2021. Later, she submitted a representation on 25.04.2025 requesting grant of advance increment. In fact, the proposal for grant of advance increment was forwarded by the 3rd respondent to the 2nd respondent on 29.07.2021. However, till date, no orders have been passed by the respondents. In such circumstances, this writ petition has been filed. 2/4

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation (latest one) dated 25.04.2025 as well as the proposal forwarded by the 3rd respondent dated 29.07.2021, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. Learned counsel for the respondents has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court.
6. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.04.2025 and the earlier proposal forwarded by the 3rd respondent dated 29.07.2021 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
7. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
