ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation.

2. The learned Government Advocate (criminal Side) appearing for the fourth respondent would submit that a long standing dispute between two groups led to a murder in the year 2012 and resulted in serious law and order problems. It is further submitted that case and counter case were registered against both groups. In such circumstances, merely directing consideration of the petitioner's representation would not serve any useful purpose.

3. I have heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on records carefully.

4. As rightly contended by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the fourth respondent, the dispute between the two groups culminated in a murder, and criminal cases are pending against both sides. In view of the prevailing circumstances, issuing a direction to the authorities to merely consider the petitioner's representation would be futile.

5. If the petitioner claims any right to perform the temple festival, it is for them to establish such right in the manner known to law before the appropriate forum.

6. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
