ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to issue license to the petitioner's Shop No.9059 situated at No.31/4A, Sakthi Garden, Seneerkuppam, Ponnamallee Taluk, Tiruvallur.

The petitioner states that the third respondent issued a public advertisement dated 05.11.2025 calling for bids from interested persons for selling eatables and for collection of empty bottles in the shops attached with the TASMAC for the period November - December 2025. The petitioner filed an application on 17.11.2025 by remitting a sum of Rs.25,000/- as Earnest Money Deposit. However, the third respondent has not declared the result of the tender and when it was enquired by the petitioner, he was informed that the tender was cancelled as the petitioner was the sole bidder but no order cancelling the tender has been passed. Hence, the petitioner sent a representation dated 20.11.2025, but till date no action has been taken on the representation. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepted notice for the first respondent and learned Standing counsel, who accepted notice, for Respondents 2 and 3.

4. The learned Standing counsel appearing for Respondents 2 and 3 submitted that the tender was cancelled as the petitioner was the sole bidder and the petitioner was informed regarding the cancellation of the tender.

5. The respondents have not placed any material before this Court to substantiate the contention that the decision taken for cancellation of tender has been informed to the petitioner in writing. Hence, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.11.2025 and pass an order within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
