This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to give No Objection Certificate for obtaining Electricity Connection to the petitioner's residence and Welding shop by considering the petitioner's representation dated 28.08.2024.

The petitioner States that he is residing in New Survey No.260/10, Patta No.691, Door No.2/25, Mariamman Koil Street, Kottakarai Village, Irumabi Post, Vanur Taluk, Villupuram District and is also running a Welding shop in the name and style of "Sri Iyappa [Hormany Steel] Work for more than 25 year. As the petitioner does not have any documents other than the house tax receipt, he was asked to get a Residence Certificate from 2/5
the Village Administrative Officer, Irumbai, Vanur Taluk and No Objection Certificate from the second respondent.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that though the fourth respondent had issued the certificate stating that the petitioner is the resident of aforesaid address for many years and a letter dated 25.09.2024 was sent by the third respondent to the second respondent, the second respondent has not taken any action on the representation dated 28.08.2024 submitted by the petitioner till date. Hence, the present writ petition.

Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepted notice on behalf of respondents, submitted that there is no documents in the name of the petitioner for the above said property, but however, the third respondent has given the recommendation stating that the electricity service connection can be given by following the Rules and hence, learned State counsel submits that the request of the petitioner will be considered and orders will be passed within a period of one month. 3/5
Hence, this writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the petition dated 28.08.2024 filed by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law. There shall be no order as to costs.
