ORDER
(The Order of the Court was made by P.Velmurugan, J) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to produce the petitioner's daughter Mrs.Nandhini D/o.Venkatesan, aged about 20 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.
2. The petitioner is the mother of the detenu who is aged 20 years. The case of the petitioner is that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the 2nd respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No.359 of 2025 on 13.11.2025 for 'Woman Missing'. However, sofar, the respondents police have not secured the daughter of the petitioner. Hence, the present petition has been filed.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents police, submitted that the detenu has eloped with one Akram and also married him and they both appeared before the Superintendent of Police, Villupuram and produced their marriage certificate.
4. It is seen that the detenu has married one Akram and subsequent to the registration of the FIR in Crime No.359 of 2025, the detenue has appeared before the Superintendent of Police, Villupuram, along with the said Akram and has produced their marriage certificate. Further, the respondents police are able to show the whereabouts of the detenu.
