ORDER

The petitioner/accused, who apprehend arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B), 29(1) of NDPS Act in Cr.No.770 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 1/3

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner along with other accused found to be in possession of 1 kg 250grams of ganja and same was sold to the general public, which led to the registration of an FIR. Hence, the present case.

3. Today, there is no representation for the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the petitioner is ranked as A4 in this case. He further submitted that the coaccused were arrested and still in custody. Hence, he vehemently opposed the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the gravity and nature of offence, huge quantity of contraband seized, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner and if bail is granted, he would indulge in similar offences.

7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 12.12.2025 Vv 2/3
