ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to conduct enquiry and cancel the patta bearing No.3707 issued in the name of the 5th respondent for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, based on the petitioner's representations dated 17.10.2023 and 19.02.2024, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner's grievance is that the patta No.3707 has been illegally issued in favour of the 5th respondent for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition and she seeks cancellation of Page No.2 of 6

the said patta. She has given representations dated 17.10.2023 and 19.02.2024 for the said purpose. Since the said representations have not been considered by the official respondents till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4. Since no adverse order is being passed against the 5th respondent, notice to the 5th respondent is dispensed with.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representations as stated supra are considered on merits and in accordance with, after hearing the objections of the 5th respondent or any other third party, whom the 2nd respondent deems fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representations.

5. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the Page No.3 of 6

petitioner's representations, dated 17.10.2023 and 19.02.2024, seeking for cancellation of patta bearing No.3707, issued in the name of the 5th respondent for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, after hearing the objections of the 5th respondent or any other third party, whom the 2nd respondent deems fit to enquire, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
