Respondent(s) PRAYER:-Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for an issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue patta by lifting the block for the Survey No. 101/5A2, (New Sy.No. 32/0, Block No.14 ) measuring an extent of 1476 sq.ft at Plot No. 36, 16th Avenue, Banu Nagar, Oragadam Village, Ambattur Taluk Chennai District 600 053 in the name of the petitioner by considering his representation dated 10.11.2025 within a stipulated period of time.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to change the classification of land more fully described in the prayer of this writ petition and for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner for the said land based on the petitioner's representation dated 10.11.2025, within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner claims that he is the owner of the property more fully described in the prayer to this writ petition. However, according to the petitioner, the said property has been wrongfully described as "Theervai Vidhikkapatta Tharisu". Hence, the petitioner through his representation dated 10.11.2025 seeks for change of classification. Since the said representation has not considered till date, he has filed this writ petition. 3.Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4.No prejudice will be caused to the respondents if a direction is issued to

them to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.11.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time limit to be fixed by this Court, after hearing the objections of the third party, whom the 3 rd respondent deems fit to enquire.

5.For the foregoing reasons, the 3 rd respondent is directed to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 10.11.2025 seeking for change of classification of land more fully described in the prayer to this writ petition and also for the issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner for the said land after hearing the objections of third party if any, whom the 3 rd respondent deems fit to enquire, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
