O R D E R

The present Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to issue a Non-Traceable Certificate, by 1/4

considering the petitioner's representations dated 20.09.2025 and 08.11.2025.

Mr.K.M.D.Muhilan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice on behalf of the respondent.

In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition (Criminal) is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had lost her original title documents and therefore, given a representation dated 20.09.2025 to the respondent police seeking to trace the documents or, in the alternative, to issue a Non-Traceable Certificate. Subsequently, the petitioner also sent a representation on 08.11.2025. However, till date, no enquiry has been conducted. 5.

Per contra, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the respondent, through a communication, had directed the petitioner to appear before the respondent police on 19.12.2025 and that if the petitioner appears on the said date, due action would be taken in 2/4

accordance with the circular dated 01.04.2022 issued by the Director General of Police in RC.No.2029209/Gen 1(1)/2022. He further submitted that a copy of the said communication has been served on the petitioner's counsel today.

Recording the submissions made by the learned learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the petitioner to appear before the respondent on the date fixed and furnish all particulars as required under the aforesaid circular issued by the Director General of Police. On receipt of such particulars, the respondent Police shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. 7.

With the above directions, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands disposed of. No costs.
