Writ Petition (Criminal) is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to not disturb the peaceful residence and not take any coercive steps to vacate the petitioner in the premises at No.13G, Kondrai Block, Central Revenue Quartiers, Anna Nagar, Chennai District, in pursuant of the representation dated 28.11.2025.

O R D E R
This writ petition (criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents not to disturb the petitioner's peaceful possession and enjoyment of the subject premises situated at No.13G, Kondrai Block, Central Revenue Quarters, Anna Nagar, Chennai District and not to take any coercive steps to vacate the petitioner, by considering his representation dated 28.11.2025.
2. Mr.S.Santhosh, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), takes notice on behalf of the respondents. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition (criminal) is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner herein is A16 in the murder case of one Armstrong and therefore, he was arrested, but, later, he was released on bail, pursuant to the order of the Principal Sessions Judge, Chennai dated 10.11.2025. He further submitted that the respondent police have also filed an application/petition seeking to cancel the bail granted to the petitioner. Meanwhile, as the 2/4
respondent police have received secret information that there is a threat to the petitioner's life, as a precautionary measure, the police officials are monitoring the activities of the petitioner and other than that, the respondent police are not harassing the petitioner.
4. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that if that is the case, the 1st respondent shall not pressurize the petitioner to vacate the subject premises.
5. In reply, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) refuted the allegation made by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is pressurized by the respondent-police to vacate the subject premises.
6. Recording the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this writ petition (criminal) stands closed. No costs.
