ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This public interest litigation has been filed seeking issuance of direction for establishment of burial ground/cremation ground in S.No.13/2B in Mangalam Village, Yercaud Taluk, Salem District.

2. After going through the petition, we find that the request of the residents of that area for establishing cremation/burial ground is under consideration and various internal communications have taken place amongst respondents 3 to 5. It further appears that the proposals made in this regard are pending with the second respondent/District Revenue Officer, Salem.

3. In view of the above, we direct the second respondent to take decision in the matter within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
