ORDER

This Writ Petition (Criminal) is filed seeking to quash the order of the respondent in No.1425057/Tha Ku-4/2025 dated 27.09.2025, wherein, the petitioner's request to grant 6 days leave to her son, who is a convict prisoner, has been rejected. 1 / 4

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner made representation to the respondent to release her son namely Irusappan S/o.Varatharasu, aged 48 years Ct.No.8934, Convict Prisoner, Central Prison, Salem, and the respondent without considering the medical status of the petitioner as well as the life convict, who is a physically challenged person, rejected the petitioner's request. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent would submit that earlier the convict prisoner was granted leave by this Court from 06.08.2024 to 08.08.2024 and during that period, the convict prisoner was attacked by some unknown persons and hence there was life threat to the convict prisoner. Further the petitioner has three daughters to take care of her.

Therefore the learned Additional Public Prosecutor opposed to grant leave to the petitioner's son. It is seen that earlier the petitioner's son was granted leave from 06.08.2024 to 08.08.2024 and during that period he was attacked by some unknown persons and he was admitted in the Hospital. Further there are six cases pending against the life convict. Furthermore, the petitioner has three daughters to take care of her health and since there is life threat to the petitioner's son, we are not inclined to grant leave to him.
