ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 27.05.2025 for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 303(2) of BNS Act, 2023 in C.C.No. 1065 of 2025 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.II, Tiruppur. 1 / 4

2.The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner herein involved in stealing of a two wheeler, which was subsequently used for chain snatching. A complaint was lodged, and the petitioner was arrested on May 27, 2025. 3.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody from 27.05.2025 and now the case is pending for trial and the property has also recovered and he prays to grant bail to the petitioner. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police, reiterated the prosecution case and submits that the petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody and the petitioner also used the two wheeler for chain snatching and the petitioner is having 8 previous cases, out of which, four robbery cases and four chain snatching cases. Therefore, he strongly opposed for grant bail to the petitioner.

5.I have also gone through the FIR and other relevant materials, including the list of 8 previous cases, out of which, four cases are related to robbery and theft, including chain snatching. Hence, if bail is granted to the petitioner, he would likely in similar offences in future, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 2 / 4

6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 09.12.2025 msm To
