ORDER
Mr.P. Balathandayutham, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for respondents. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The relief sought in this writ petition is a direction to the respondents to promote the petitioner as Head Wireman with effect from the date on which his junior G.Vijayakumar got Promotion as Head Wireman with all monetary and other attendant benefits by considering the petitioner's representations dated 24.02.2023, 27.11.2023, 18.12.2024 and 20.09.2025 respectively.
3. It is stated that originally, the petitioner joined the services of the respondents as NMR staff on 10.05.1993 and thereafter his services were 2/5
regularised as Wireman Grade II based on G.O. Ms. No.334 dated 19.10.2007. It is the case of the petitioner that as per the seniority list published by the 1 st respondent on 06.08.2020, the petitioner was placed at Sl. No.30 and his junior G. Vijayakumar was placed at Sl. No.33.
4. It is the grievance of the petitioner that based on the said seniority list, the petitioner's immediate junior, G. Vijayakumar, was promoted to the post of Head Wireman on 30.01.2023 just one day prior to his retirement on 31.01.2023, while the petitioner was overlooked. Aggrieved thereby, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 24.02.2023 seeking promotion to the post of Head Wireman on par with his junior G. Vijayakumar. The 3rd and 4th respondents recommended the petitioner's case for promotion, and the 4th respondent forwarded the proposal vide proceedings dated 27.11.2023 and 13.12.2023. Despite repeated reminders, including the last representation dated 20.09.2025, the 1st respondent has not passed any orders. Hence, the present writ petition seeking a direction to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representations (lastly on 20.09.2025) in accordance with the recommendations already made.
5. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the records.
6. In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the 3/5
petitioner's representation lastly dated 20.09.2025, on the basis of the recommendations made by the 3rd and 4th respondents, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
7. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
