2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner is ranked as A1. It is alleged that the petitioner, while working as a SubRegistrar, had joined hands with A2, the document writer and demanded a sum of Rs.15,000/- from the defacto complainant for registering a gift deed. Based on the complaint lodged, a trap was laid, during which Rs.10,000/- was paid to A2. Immediately, thereafter, the police party entered the premises and found both accused in possession of the tainted money, following which A1 was also arrested. Hence, the complaint.
