ORDER
Mr.E. Senniyangiri, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the 1st respondent and Mr.T. Chandrasekaran, learned counsel takes notice for the 2nd respondent. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The relief sought in this writ petition is a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.09.2025, within a time frame.
3. It is stated that the petitioner was appointed as a Salesman in the 2nd respondent Society in the year 1984 and was subsequently promoted to the post of Secretary in the year 1990. While so, the petitioner was placed under suspension and, pending disciplinary proceedings, he was permitted to retire from service on attaining the age of superannuation.
4. It is the grievance of the petitioner that gratuity has not been paid to him and that arrears arising out of revision of salary have also not been disbursed. In this regard, he submitted a representation dated 06.09.2025, seeking settlement of gratuity and payment of arrears for revision of salary. However, the said representation is still pending consideration, and no orders have been passed thereon till date. As the said representation did not evoke any response, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing this writ petition. 2/4

Though very many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation, dated 06.09.2025, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.
6. Learned counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent has no objection for the above order being passed by this Court.
7. In view of the limited request sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.09.2025, if he is entitled for the benefits viz., gratuity and arrears of revised salary, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
