PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to appoint the petitioners based on their online application dated 24.06.2024 based on the reservation policy of the respondents in their DOPT office memorandum dated 21.11.2022 confirmed by the Supreme Court in Writ petition (Civil) No.1100 of 2022 dated 03.10.2023 by considering the representation dated 19.11.2025 in accordance with law to secure the ends of justice.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to appoint the petitioners based on their online application dated 24.06.2024 based on the reservation policy of the respondents in their DOPT office memorandum dated 21.11.2022 confirmed by the Supreme Court in Writ petition (Civil) No.1100 of 2022 dated 03.10.2023 by considering the representation dated 19.11.2025 in accordance with law

It is the case of the petitioners that Petitioner is working as a Video Post Production Assistant in News and Programme section as contract employee of Doordarshan kendra, Chennai over 21 years without any break and the second petitioner is also working as Resource person and post production assistant in Agriculture Section on contract basis over 20 years are coming under communal reservation in public employment and the fourth respondent is seeking recruitment of employees of Broadcasting executive and video post production assistant and both of the petitioners applied to the said post through online dated 24/06/2024 and the interview is called for. But as per the judgement of Supreme Court in writ petition (civil).No.

1100 of 2022 dated 03/10/2023 the reservation policy for OBC to be maintained by age relaxation as per contractual engagement policy (CEP) 2021 of Prasar Bharati Office order No.181/2021-2. TM & SO dated 18/08/2021 as well reservation policy of DOPT office Memorandum No.41034/4/2022 dated 21/11/2022 would be followed in letter and sprit.

Thereafter, the petitioners preferred a representation dated 19/11/2025 to follow the office memorandum implicating and call for the post of the petitioners. hence the present writ.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may directing the respondent to consider the petitioners representation and pass appropriate orders within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed within the time as fixed by this Court.

5. Heard the learned counsels appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of

the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioners representation dated 24.06.2024 and pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
