ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.08.2025 for grant of an allotment order to provide space for keeping Cable TV equipment.
2. The petitioner is carrying on business as a Local Cable Operator (LCO) under the name and style of "Veeram Cable Visiion" since the year 2010 and is duly registered with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation Limited. The petitioner has made an application on 31.12.2022, followed by reminder representations dated 21.08.2024 and 26.08.2025, requesting the respondents to allot space for keeping Cable TV Equipment in terms of Condition No.7 of the permission/lease order. However, no action has been taken on the same till date. Hence, the present petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on records carefully.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking into account the limited relief sought by the petitioner, this Court directs the Respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.08.2025 regarding issuance of an allotment order for providing space to keep the Cable TV Equipment and to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
