Respondent(s) PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to dispose off the representation dated 15.05.2025 addressed to the 2nd and 3rd respondents and direct them to rectify the pay anomaly in the time pay scale to Rs.9300- 34800 plus 4200 instead of Rs.5200- 20200 plus 2400 on merits within a specified time frame.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation submitted to the respondents 2 and 3 dated 15.05.2025 and to direct them to rectify the pay anomaly in the time pay scale to Rs.930034800 plus 4200 instead of Rs.5200- 20200 plus 2400 on merits.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was appointed as Boiler Grade-II on 16.07.2012 vide proceedings of the 2nd respondent based on the recommendations of the District Employment Office, Coimbatore. It is stated that at the time of appointment, the petitioner possessed the necessary educational qualification and technical qualification for the said post, however, the scale of pay of the petitioner was wrongly fixed by the respondents. It is the case of the petitioner that the pay anomaly between the petitioner and other similarly placed/ qualified employees has to be rectified, therefore, the petitioner had submitted a representation to the respondents on 15.05.2025 seeking fixation of pay. The representation submitted by the petitioner has not been considered by the respondents till date, hence, the 2/4
petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking appropriate relief.
3. The learned counsels appearing for the respondents would submit that the rectification of pay anomaly sought for in the writ petition was already considered by the respondents and the petitioner's representation was rejected vide order dated 21.08.2025.
4. In view of the above, the Writ Petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the order dated 21.08.2025 in the manner known to law. No costs.
