ORDER

This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondents for non compliance of the order dated 20.12.2021 passed by this Court in W.P.No.25423 of 2021, thereby directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners, in the light of the dictum laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Civil Appeal No.7064 of 2019, within a period of twelve weeks.

The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that as directed by this Court, the respondent has already been sent a communication dated 22.01.2026, thereby requested the Project Director, NHAI, PIU-Villuppuram, to release the total fund amount of Rs.31,55,120/- for making payment to the land owners. He also produced a copy of the communication dated 22.01.2026 before this Court.

Recording the above submissions, the Contempt Petition stands closed.
