O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by P.VELMURUGAN J.) This Writ of Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed seeking a direction to produce the petitioner's daughter before this Court and to handover her custody to the petitioner.

2. The case of the petitioner is that her daughter, who left for college on 06.11.2025, did not return home. Despite searching all known places, her whereabouts could not be traced. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint on 07.11.2025 before the second respondent-Police. Based on the complaint, a case in Crime No.402 of 2025 was registered for "Girl Missing". Alleging inaction on the part of the respondents, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present petition.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the

respondents-Police have secured the petitioner's daughter and produced her before this Court.

4. This Court interacted with the detenue in open Court. During the course of enquiry, the detenue categorically stated that she had voluntarily left her home and gone to Tiruppur along with her friend. After duly counselling the detenue regarding her safety, education and future wellbeing this Court directed that she be entrusted to the care and custody of the petitioner, her mother.

5. In view of the above facts and circumstances, and as the detenue has been secured and produced before this Court and has expressed her desire to go with the petitioner, no further adjudication is required in this Habeas Corpus Petition. Accordingly, this Writ of Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
