The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.1435 of 2020, pending on the file of the first respondent Police.

When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the first respondent Police, on instructions, submitted that the investigation in this case has been completed and that the final report is yet to be filed before the jurisdictional Court.

Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Criminal Original Petition stands closed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed. However, the first respondent police is directed to file the final report within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such filing, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the final report in the manner known to law, if so advised.
