ORDER
Mr.V. Umakanth, learned Government Advocate takes notice for respondents. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The relief sought in this writ petition is a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.10.2025.
3. The petitioner is working as a Salesperson in a ration shop under the All Primary Agricultural Co-operative Credit Societies and Common Service Centre. While so, she submitted a representation dated 06.10.2025 to the 1st respondent seeking transfer to Coimbatore District. Since no orders were passed on the said representation, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing this writ petition.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a Cooperative Society employee presently serving in Pudukkottai District and has sought transfer to Coimbatore District by submitting a representation dated 06.10.2025. Hence, he prayed that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.10.2025.
5. Per contra, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that there is no provision for district-to-district transfer 2/4
under the existing service rules governing Co-operative Society employees and that transfers can be effected only within the same district in accordance with the prescribed procedure. In support of his submission, he produced a copy of a letter dated 14.12.2025 issued by the 2nd respondent. In view of the above, this Court may issue suitable directions.
6. This Court perused the proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 14.12.2025. A bare perusal of the said proceedings reveals that a reply was sent by the respondents in respect of petitioner's representation dated 08.08.2025. However, the respondents have to pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 06.10.2025. Hence, this Court is of the view that the petitioner's representation dated 06.10.2025 deserves to be disposed of in accordance with law. Accordingly, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 06.10.2025, if not already passed, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
