Prayer Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to cancel the erroneous UDR entry standing in the name of Chitra Dinakar in respect of the land in Survey No.337/5 extent 1.27 cents and it restored the patta and all revenue records in the petitioner family name 1/5

and pass appropriate orders in terms of Section 10 of Tamil Nadu Patta Baook Act, 1983 read with Rule 4 (7) of Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Rules, 1986 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. For Petitioner : Mr.T.Elumalai For Respondents 1 to 4 : Mr.S.Arumugam Government Advocate For Respondent-5 : Notice Dispensed with Order This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the second respondent to cancel the alleged erroneous UDR entry standing in the name of the fifth respondent in respect of the land (morefully described in the prayer to this Writ Petition) and to restore the patta and all revenue records in favour of the family members of the petitioner, as prayed in the petitioner's representation 03.11.2025 in terms of Section 10 of Tamil Nadu Patta Book Act, 1983 read with Rule 4 (7) of Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Rules, 1986 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner claims that an erroneous UDR entry has been made in respect of the land (morefully described in the prayer to this Writ Petition) which needs to be corrected. The petitioner has given a representation dated 2/5

03.11.2025 to the respondents 1 to 4 for the said purpose. Since the same has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

3. Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate accepts notices for respondents 1 to 4. Since no adverse orders are passed against the fifth respondent, notice to the said respondent is dispensed with.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation dated 03.11.2025 is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections of the fifth respondent as well as any other third party, whom, the second respondent deem it fit to enquire. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the representation made by the petitioner.

For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondent No. 2 to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 03.11.2025 seeking for cancellation of alleged erroneous UDR entry standing in the name of the fifth respondent in respect of the land (morefully described in the prayer to this Writ Petition) after 3/5

hearing objections of the fifth respondent as well as any other third party, whom, the second respondent deems it fit to enquire within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
