The Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioners for the removal of the abandoned movable properties belonging to 4th and 5th respondents from the petitioners' lawfully owned premises situated in S.F.No.153/8B and related survey numbers at Athanur Village, Rasipuram Taluk, Namakkal District, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court on the basis of the petitioners' representation dated 25.11.2025. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.S.Santhosh, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), who takes notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 3, submitted that based on the representation dated 25.11.2025 made by the petitioners, an enquiry has been conducted in C.No.H2/SP-GDP/2607/14681/2025 and it has been closed finding that the request of the petitioners was civil in nature with a direction to the petitioners to approach the Civil Court.

Recording the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands closed. The petitioner is at liberty to approach the appropriate forum. No costs.
