ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition is filed, seeking direction to the learned Subordinate Judge, Poonamallee to dispose of the petition for divorce filed by the petitioner in HMOP No.456 of 2019, within a time frame, fixed by this court.

2. It is seen from the extract of adjudications filed in the typed set of papers that the respondent was initially set exparte on 08.09.2022 and thereafter, on her application, the exparte order was set aside on 20.06.2023 and the matter was posted for enquiry. Subsequently, PW1 was examined on 18.07.2023 and thereafter, the matter was adjourned for several dates. On 18.06.2024, the respondent filed a memo stating that she filed a petition in HMOP No.59 of 2024 for restitution of conjugal rights. Recording the same, both the matters were tagged together and evidence already recorded was eschewed. After several hearings, in the joint trial, PW1 was examined on 03.12.2024. However, there is no progress thereafter. 2/4

Taking into consideration the petition in HMOP No.456 of 2019 was filed in the year 2019 and in the joint trial, PW1 was examined as early as on 03.12.2024, this court is inclined to direct the learned Subordinate Judge, Poonamallee to dispose of the HMOP Nos.456 of 2019 and 59 of 2024 as expeditiously as possible.

4. With the above direction, this civil revision petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
