ORDER
The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 21.11.2025 for the alleged offence punishable under Section 4(1)(c) of
the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1973 and section 77 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 in Crime No.487 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 12 numbers of TASMAC liquor bottles without any valid permission. Hence, the complaint.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 12 numbers of TASMAC liquor bottles without any proper license. He would also submit that there are 23 previous cases, similar in nature, pending against the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
5. Considering the nature of offence committed by the petitioner, and taking note of the fact that there are 23 previous cases, similar in nature, pending against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
