ORDER

The writ petitioner seeks for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to receive the application of the petitioner dated 11.10.2025 in Form CCPA along with prescribed fee through on-line for the grant of Auto Rickshaw to operate the vehicle within radius of 30 k.m. distance from Salem Town Bus Stand, Salem and to consider the same.

The learned counsel for the petitioner invites the attention of this Court to the Order dated 10.04.2024 in W.P.No.9394 of 2024, where this Court in almost identical circumstances disposed of the Writ Petition, directing the respondent to receive the application of the writ petitioner along with prescribed fee for grant of Auto Rickshaw Permit and consider the same on merits.

3. I have no hesitation to follow the said Order passed by this Court which is in fact has already recorded a similar Order earlier passed in W.P.No.9394 of 2024 dated 10.04.2024.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is allowed with a direction to the respondent to accept the application of the petitioner along with prescribed fee, through on-line mode, for grant of Auto Rickshaw Permit to operate the vehicle within radius of 30 k.m. distance from Salem Town Bus Stand, Salem and

consider the application purely on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate Orders, within a period of eight weeks from today. It is also be noted that if no application has been made by the petitioner, the petitioner shall make a fresh application along with the prescribed fee before the respondent to enable them to pass Orders thereafter.
