ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.10.2025 requesting for transfer of patta in his name for the property morefully described in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. The petitioner claims that by virtue of Will dated 24.07.2023, the petitioner became entitled to the subject property. He has applied for patta through his representation dated 26.10.2025. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.
3. Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, and submits that, to enable the respondents to consider his claim, the petitioner will have to submit an online application to the respondents.
4. The petitioner is therefore directed to submit a fresh online application to the third respondent. No prejudice will be caused to the third respondent if the petitioner's fresh online application is considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of in the following manner:- __________Page 2 of 4
(a) The petitioner is directed to submit a fresh online application seeking for issuance of patta in his name for the property morefully described in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
(b) On receipt of such online application, the third respondent shall consider the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing objections from the neighbouring land owners and any other party whom the third respondent deems fit to enquire, within a period of 12 weeks thereafter.
